Those wanting to hear former presidential candidate Herman Cain speak tonight in Newnan can still get tickets at the door.
General admission tickets are $10 and will be available starting at 6 p.m. at the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts off Lower Fayetteville Road. Doors will open for general seating at 6:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Republican Women’s Clubs in Coweta, Henry, Fayette and Troup counties. Proceeds will fund care packages for troops and the One Roof Outreach ministry in Coweta.
Also scheduled to speak is U.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, R-Ga. Third District. Other leading Republicans, including those in the Third District, the governor, lieutenant governor and U.S. Senators Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss have been invited.
Cain was a successful businessman with the Pillsbury Company for many years and was chairman and CEO of Godfather’s Pizza from 1986 to 1996. Cain was the leading Republican front-runner for the presidential nomination through the fall of 2011 before ending his campaign. He has since endorsed Mitt Romney.
