Whitlock named to hospital authority

Mark Whitlock was sworn in as a member of the Coweta County Hospital Authority at Thursday’s meeting.
Whitlock is the CEO of the Coweta County School System’s Central Educational Center. Whitlock was appointed to the hospital board by the Coweta County Board of Commissioners at the request of authority chairman Mark Brown.
In other business, Brown reported on continuing talks between himself and officials of West Georgia Technical College aimed at seeing if the authority can provide some form of assistance to WGTC’s planned nursing program.
The authority’s financials were reported and approved by the board.
