HomeSafe Georgia program Thursday
From Staff Reportsnews@newnan.com
An informational event on the HomeSafe Georgia program will be held Thursday in Griffin.
HomeSafe Georgia is a program that helps unemployed Georgians pay their mortgage for up to 18 months.
The program can also provide assistance for those who fell behind on their mortgage while unemployed but who are now working.
The town-hall style meeting is for everyone interested in the program, particularly community leaders who may work with or know those who may need foreclosure prevention assistance. The intent is to get the word out about the program.
The program is being hosted by the Three Rivers Regional Commission and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, which administers HomeSafe Georgia.
The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Griffin Regional Welcome Center at 143 North Hill Street, Griffin.
For more information, call Three Rivers at 678-692-0510.
