A Grantville woman was transported to Piedmont Newnan Hospital early Saturday morning for treatment of minor injuries sustained when her truck hydroplaned and flipped.
Nobu Yvonne Queen was exiting I-85 South in Grantville around 1 a.m. when she lost control of her Toyota Tundra. Queen, who was driving about 45 miles per hour, slid sideways through the stop sign, hit the curve and traveled about 50 feet before coming to rest on its roof, according to officers at the scene.
"We warn all drivers to be cautious of this intersection and obey all traffic control devices while exiting the interstate," Bulcher said. "We've had a lot of complaints about people running the stop sign. Drivers need to slow down coming off the interstate, look for oncoming traffic and obey all traffic signs."
