Bridging Gap burglarized again

Newnan Police are investigating the early Wednesday break-in at Bridging the Gap, a local non-profit group that supplies food for needy residents.
Nothing was taken, thanks to a recently donated alarm system that probably scared the suspect or suspects off, said Alison Wallace, director of the ministry at 15 Perry St.
The alarm system was donated by Relyco Security Resources.
“I hope these people (suspects) realize we’re trying to help other people,” Wallace said.
It’s the second break-in within the last month, and the third since last fall.
In last year’s break-in, thieves stole soap, clothing and school supplies slated for needy kids going back to school.
Bridging the Gap isn’t the only non-profit group to get hit this month.
The One Roof Outreach facility on Temple Avenue was broken into between May 17-18.
A suspect, caught on surveillance cameras, broke into a candy vending machine, took the money and also took two zip-lock bags containing change.
One Roof is an alliance of Coweta churches that provides financial assistance and personal care items to needy residents.
