Coweta County authorities are asking the public's help in identifying the individual who recently broke into the One Roof Outreach facility.
Surveillance cameras taped the suspect walking through the office, rummaging through desks and filing cabinets, according to Major Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff's Office. The suspect broke into a candy vending machine and removed the money, and also emptied two zip-lock bags containing change and took that as well.
The break-in occurred sometime between the evening of May 17 and early May 18. The facility's director, Derenda Hayes Rowe, reported the burglary when she came into work that morning, the major said.
The non-profit One Roof is an alliance of Coweta churches that provides financial assistance to needy Cowetans. One Roof also collects and provides personal care and hygiene items, such as soap and shampoo, and baby items, and operates a thrift store.
Those in need are provided some items of free clothing and household items, as well.
Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to call Yarbrough or Investigator Warren Cambell at the sheriff's office - 770-253-1502
