Georgia Cyber Academy and Georgia Connections Academy are now enrolling students for the 2012-13 school year.
Georgia Cyber Academy, an established virtual program, which serves students in grades K-11, is a tuition-free, online-based public school which uses K12 curriculum.
Georgia Connections Academy, a tuition-free virtual charter school which is wrapping up its first academic year, is expanding from grades K-8 to grades K-12 for the 2012-13 school year. Both are open to students from anywhere in Georgia.
The K12 curriculum used by Georgia Cyber Academy (GCA) includes web-based lessons along with instructional materials – books, videos, CDs, and other hands-on tools and resources – which are shipped directly to each student’s home. GCA teachers provide instruction, guidance and support and regularly interact with students and parents via email, web-based classrooms, online discussions, phone, and face-to-face meetings.
Teachers also organize numerous field trips and school activities. Students also have the opportunity to participate in regularly scheduled online and face-to-face events that blend academics and socialization, including opportunities for enrichment and remediation.

K12 provides courses in English/language arts, math, science, history, music, and art for students in grades K-8.

The K12912 high school program offers students a catalog of more than 130 core, elective, and AP courses.
