Kelley earns degree at Troy U

Vivian Kelley of Newnan has graduated from Troy University in Alabama during the summer 2014 semester with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.

Area students graduate from Jacksonville State

The following local students were among the 728 candidates receiving degrees from Jacksonville State University in Alabama this spring, making up the largest graduating class in the university’s history. They are Bryan Coggin of Luthersville, who graduated with a Master of Science in Education; Nicholas Burgess of Moreland, who graduated with a Master of Science; William Koran of Newnan, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts; John McLain of Newnan, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science; Amber Nixon of Newnan, who graduated Special Honors in Elementary and Collaborative Education with a Bachelor of Science in Education; and Marci Ware of Sharpsburg, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science.

Higgins graduates from Lipscomb U with honors

Sharpsburg student Chloe Higgins was awarded a Bachelor of Science from Lipscomb University in Nashville at the conclusion of the spring semester 2014. Higgins, an Arlington High School graduate, studied biology and has completed all the credits necessary to graduate magna cum laude. Higgins was also named to the Provost’s List for achieving perfect grades while taking 12 credit hours.

Anderson named to Lipscomb U Honor Roll

Ashley Anderson of Newnan has been named to the Honor Roll at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Students who achieve a grade average of 3.5 to 3.99 are named to the Honor Roll. Anderson, a Northgate High School graduate, is studying exercise science.
