Natalie Hill

Natalie Hill teaches Pre-K at Brooks Elementary School. This year was her eighth of teaching.

Why did you become a teacher?

As far back as I can remember, I enjoyed school and teaching. I loved playing school. I would always be the teacher. I had excellent teachers as a child.

What is your favorite part?

The kids. They make me laugh. At this age, they are always happy and eager to learn. There are not many jobs where you can laugh all day and teach life skills.

What do you do for fun?

I enjoy spending time with family. I enjoy going to the beach, working in the yard, and running.

If you were not a teacher, what would you be doing?

I would be some type of scientist. I always loved chemistry and biology.

What is your favorite movie?

E.T.

What is your favorite book?

“Tuesdays with Morrie.” There are good life lessons in that book.

What is the one thing you want your students to learn?

That school is a wonderful place. I want them to be comfortable in my classroom, to take risks, and know that we are a big supportive family who will support each other as we learn.

What are your summer plans?

Relax, read, run at least one race, and take a family vacation to the beach.
