Madden named to Dean’s List at Young Harris

Olivia Anne Madden has been named to the Young Harris College Dean’s List for the fall 2013 semester. Students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average or better are eligible to be named to the Dean’s List. Madden, a freshman English major at YHC, is a graduate of Northgate High School, and the daughter of John and Melissa Madden of Sharpsburg. ***

Davenport named to President’s List at Young Harris

Ashley Victoria Davenport has been named to the Young Harris College President’s List for the fall 2013 semester. Students who achieve a 4.0 grade point average are eligible to be named to the President’s List. Davenport, a junior biology major at YHC, is a graduate of Northgate High School, and the daughter of Steve and Connie Davenport of Newnan.

Sexton named to Oxford’s Honor List

John Sexton of Sharpsburg was named to the Honor List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University, for the 2013 fall semester. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher to be named to the Honor List.

Mansfield and Lawson earn Emory degrees

Amy Mansfield of Newnan recently received a Juris Master from the the School of Law at Emory University. Amy Lawson of Fayetteville recently received a Bachelor of Arts from the Emory College of Arts and Sciences at Emory University.

Burston inducted into honor society at Chowan

The Chowan University Chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta recently inducted Sierra Burston of Grantville. Membership into the national honor society at the Murfreesboro, N.C. university is open to full-time freshman students who earn a scholastic average of 3.5 or better. Burston is majoring in exercise science.

Green and Suber earn Dean’s List honors at SVA

Mia Green of Newnan and Sarah Suber of Senoia were named to the fall 2013 Dean's List at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. The Dean's List requires a student to successfully complete 12 credits of coursework, without any grades of incomplete, and earn a term GPA of at least 3.50.
