Why did you go into teaching?

I chose to teach because I love children, and I love to watch them learn. I get joy and excitement out of watching them grow in their learning.

What is your favorite part of teaching?

My favorite part is just to watch their growth. My goal is to get them where they need to be, but I set high expectations for them. I enjoy watching them reach those higher expectations.

Do you have a family?

I am married with two children and two step-children, four in all. There are three boys and one girl.

What do you do when you’re not at school?

I’m usually doing something that involves one of the kids, either football or cheerleading. I enjoy spending time with my family and doing things with my children.

Favorite movie?

Hope Floats

If you could tell students of all ages one thing, what would it be?

How important school is and how very important it is for them to read. Your main focus should be your education.
