Atkinson Elementary School held an All-Star sports-themed Scholastic Book fair recently, with funds used to help purchase books and materials for the media center.
The school followed with its spring book fair last week, with a Story Laboratory Family Fun Night in the media center Thursday with experiments, story time and prizes. At both events, visitors had the opportunity to help raise money for All For Books, a program which helps needy students buy books.
Donations for a bean bag toss and mad scientist hair styling were used toward All For Books.
Online shopping is available through Feb. 24 at http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/atkinsontigers with free shipping to the school.
For more information, contact the school at 770-254-2835.
