A new year for Newnan Coweta Art Association

By FAYE HOLZAEPFEL

Newnan-Coweta Art Association President

(Editor's note: The 2012-13 president of NCAA, the Newnan-Coweta Art Association, share details on the group's goals for the coming year.)

I know it is going to be quite a challenge but I am really excited about 2012.

With a down economy, I think people more than ever need to look at something beautiful that someone has created from their heart. They need their community and all the wonderful programs, shows and local events that are available in our charming city of Newnan. We are so lucky to have the City of Newnan, The Carnegie, The Newnan Historical Society and the NCAA to offer all that they do for the community.

My goals as the new president of the NCAA are to grow our membership, get the word out about our wonderful cultural city and to attract visitors as well as people looking for a permanent residence that offers all the things we have.

Our main goal is to promote interest and appreciation of the visual arts in Coweta and foster art education in the Coweta School System through scholarships each year .

Of course to allow this to continue to be possible we are going to do a Patron Sponsorship Program. If you can donate as little as $25 at a sponsor level or $100 as patron level we can continue to make this happen.

For membership and sponsorship applications, as well as our calendar see our website, www.newcaa.com .

So join us in the New Year for growth, success, fine art programs and shows in our community.

See you around town!
