Redneck Gourmet expands hours

The Redneck Gourmet is now open seven days a week.

Both Newnan and Senoia locations will be open Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., on Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday "brunch" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"Our brunch menu will simply be our breakfast and lunch menus, both served until 2 p.m.," said owner Casey Smith. "Make plans to visit us after Sunday school or church."

The local eatery was prominently featured this week on cnn.com. The national Web site reported: "Sales generally mirror profits at the popular Newnan, Georgia, eatery... but Smith said that isn't the case lately: Sales are up 9 percent over last year, but profits have jumped only 4 percent."

"The economy definitely has started showing its face around here," Smith told CNN.

A new shipment of Redneck Gourmet shirts has arrived at both locations, he said. Adult sizes include Small through XX-Large. Red, Yellow, Green, White, and Royal.
