Batson-Cook appoints Hall and Appleton leaders of Georgia offices

West Point, Georgia -- Batson-Cook Company, a leading general contractor in the Southeast, has named R. Randall Hall senior vice president and general manager of the Atlanta construction office and promoted Joe Appleton to senior vice president and general manager of the West Point, Ga., construction office.

Batson-Cook has a strong presence in construction in Newnan and the surrounding areas. The company built Target stores in both Newnan and Peachtree City. In addition, the company has worked on both phases of "The Bridge" Family Life Center and sanctuary renovation for First Baptist Church in Peachtree City as well as the 78,000-square-foot TRACON facility in Peachtree City.

Hall has 27 years in construction and construction management, 13 with Batson-Cook. Most recently, he was senior vice president and general manager of the West Point construction office. He led approximately $400 million in new construction projects during his six-year tenure.

Hall was the executive in charge of the $91 million National Infantry Museum in Columbus, Ga. This museum, completed in June 2009, is a 107,000-square-foot monument to Infantry soldiers from the Revolutionary War to the present. Among other notable projects constructed during his tenure in West Point are the award-winning LEED Certified Little White House Museum in Warm Springs, the Paul S. Amos Campus Expansion for Aflac in Columbus, and the WindMark Beach Village Center Resort in Port St. Joe, Fla.

Appleton has more than 32 years in the construction industry, four with Batson-Cook. Most recently, he was a project executive in the West Point office. In this role he led varied projects including the $51 million WindMark Beach Village Center Resort in Port St. Joe, Fla. He was also the lead executive on the $11 million Frank and Laura Lewis Library at LaGrange College (LEED certification pending), the $8 million Hampton Inn & Suites in Lanett, Ala., and he lead the preconstruction efforts for the $15.5 million Roosevelt Warm Springs Residence Hall in Warm Springs.
