Batson-Cook, Ackerman Medical developing Newnan Centre for Health

Batson-Cook Development Company announces its partnership with Ackerman Medical to build a 250,000-square-foot medical office outpatient campus on 25 acres on the corner of Newnan Crossing Bypass and Lower Fayetteville Road.

The Newnan Centre for Health will be a master-planned outpatient medical office campus featuring primary care practices and specialists supported by diagnostics and other outpatient services.

YourTown Health Palmetto earns national recognition for patient-centered care

The Palmetto location of YourTown Health, formerly known as Palmetto Health Council, recently received national recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of primary care that emphasizes coordinated care and communication across the healthcare system to improve patient experience and reduce costs. Recognized medical homes foster ongoing, participative partnerships between patients and their personal clinicians to approach patient care both holistically and preventatively. Medical Home clinicians demonstrate the benchmarks of patient-centered care, including open scheduling, expanded hours, and appropriate use of proven health information systems to transform primary care into “what patients want it to be.”

Regions Bank expands multi-family real estate lending

Regions Bank has been approved as a Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting and Servicing lender and acquired a DUS servicing portfolio totaling approximately $1 billion.

The Fannie Mae DUS approval complements Regions’ existing real estate banking and capital markets capabilities and will allow the bank to provide long-term, flexible financing solutions to support multi-family housing clients nationwide.

The Fannie Mae DUS program is a unique risk-sharing model that provides liquidity to the multifamily housing market. Fannie Mae relies primarily on the DUS network of financial institutions and independent mortgage lenders to execute its multifamily business. Fannie Mae and its lender partners have provided more than $300 billion in liquidity to the mortgage market to finance more than 6.3 million units of multifamily housing since the DUS program was launched in 1988.

O’Charley’s in Newnan honors local service members

As part of its reopening celebration after a renovation, the Newnan O’Charley’s honored two active duty service members as Hometown Heroes.

Recognized were Sergeant First Class Travaris Radford and Staff Sergeant John Keene.

Radford joined the Army in 1998. He has served three tours in Iraq and a tour in Afghanistan and, served as Section Leader and Squad Leader during his deployments. Radford currently serves as an Army Recruiter at the U.S. Army Recruiting Station in Newnan.

Keen also joined the Army in 1998. He has served deployments in Kosovo, Djibouti, Iraq and Afghanistan, and was a Team Leader and Squad Leader during the majority of his deployments. Keene serves as Staff Sergeant Recruiter.
