How did you get the idea to start Key Promotions?

For ten years, I was in sales and management with a large construction information company in Atlanta. Before my youngest was born, I took few years off to be a full-time mom. Once my children were preschool age, it was time to go back to work!

My husband, Harris, actually gave me the idea as he works in the wholesale apparel industry. I wanted to do something different than my previous career, where I could be in charge of my schedule and control my future. I think I found the perfect fit!

What do you feel is one of the most notable qualities that you feel any small business should pay close attention to?

Above all else, value your customers and get to know them. It’s important to be someone they can depend on, no matter what the situation. Take your customers’ best interest to heart and they will hopefully become loyal fans.

As a finalist for Small Business of the Year, to what do you attribute your success?

Besides having some of the best customers imaginable, I would say it’s probably because I absolutely love what I do and it doesn’t feel like work!
