Locals attend Plato’s Closet conference
Allison Spartis and John Cheatham of Plato’s Closet of Newnan recently attended the company’s 2014 conference, held in Anaheim, Calif from April 30 to May 3.
This year’s conference was shaped, in part, by the challenging retail environment of 2013. Conference organizers planned sessions and events designed to help individual store owners approach competitors of all types as motivators to improve service, communication and inventory at their own stores. There was a full agenda of workshops and events on topics ranging from store management to social media, with an emphasis on providing an exceptional client experience.
Keynote speaker Dennis Snow is a former Disney executive and world-renowned expert in customer service and the customer experience. He emphasized the importance of delivering a consistent and positive brand experience to increase brand loyalty and promote life-long customer retention.
Plato’s Closet is a resale store that caters to fashion-conscious teen and young adult customers. “In the face of increasing competition, the future success of our store depends not only on the job we do for our customers, but on the reputation of the brand itself,” said Cheatham. “We know that in today’s ‘social’ world, the most effective brand ambassadors are satisfied customers, so we’ll continue to focus on making every visit to Plato’s Closet of Newnan a great experience for local shoppers.”
