Georgia Power adds 2,600 Authorized Payment Locations
Georgia Power has added more than 2,600 new Authorized Payment Locations across the state. The new APLs allow customers to pay their Georgia Power bills where they shop.
Locations include retailers such as Kroger, Rite Aid, Publix, Walmart and Kmart, with payments processed through Western Union and the CheckFreePay walk-in bill payment service from Fiserv.
To make a payment at an APL, customers should bring their current Georgia Power bill or have their full account number. All APLs accept cash and some accept debit cards, but not credit cards or checks. Payments made through APLs include a $1.50 transaction fee, and are processed in real time.
“We know it is important for our customers to have multiple, easy ways to pay their bills and to minimize the time it takes to make a payment,” said Mike Hazelton, senior vice president of marketing for Georgia Power. “The new retail locations add a tremendous level of convenience not only for customers who prefer to pay their bills in person, but also for customers who need to make a payment immediately at night or on weekends.”

"Blossman Gas leads the way in propane-powered lawn equipment. Creation and conversion of mowers to propane has the potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduces costs and even prolongs the life of the mower’s engine."
